Infants: 6 Weeks - 11 Months

At St. Philip Preschool, our infant program lovingly

serves children ages 6 weeks to 11 months in two

nurturing infant classrooms designed to provide

a safe, comforting, and Christ-centered environment.

Our caring teachers focus on each baby’s individual

needs through gentle routines that include feeding,

diapering, tummy time, sensory play, music, and early

language development. Infants are encouraged to explore through age-appropriate toys, soft books, and interactive activities that support cognitive, social, and motor growth. Toddler (18 Months - 2 Years)

At St. Philip Preschool, our Preschool class for children

ages 3 to 4 years provides a structured, engaging, and

Christ-centered environment where children grow in

confidence and develop a deeper love for learning.

At this stage, students begin building important early

academic skills, including letter recognition, phonics

awareness, counting, patterns, and early writing.

Through a balance of teacher-guided instruction and

hands-on learning centers, children explore art, science,

sensory play, and dramatic play while strengthening

social skills like cooperation, sharing, and problem-

solving. Daily routines include circle time, music and movement, outdoor play, and small group activities that encourage independence and responsibility. Pre-K (4-5 years)

At St. Philip Preschool, our Pre-K class for children ages 4–5

literacy skills through Zoo-Phonics, using fun animal

movements and sounds to help them connect letters with

phonemic awareness. Each day includes music and

movement, where children sing, dance, and express creativity

while developing coordination and confidence. During garden

time, students explore God’s creation firsthand, planting,

observing, and learning responsibility as they care for growing plants. Our library time fosters a love of reading as children listen to stories, practice early comprehension skills, and begin to recognize letters and words. Through play, structured learning, and Christian values woven into each activity, our Pre-K program prepares children academically, socially, and spiritually for kindergarten and beyond.
